Bills Will Retire Bruce Smith's #78 at Home Opener

The Bills announced this morning that they will be retiring Hall of Fame DE Bruce Smith's #78 jersey at their 2016 home opener. Smith was an icon during the Bills Super Bowl era recording 163 of his record breaking 200 career sacks during his 14 years with Buffalo. Bruce is widely regarded as the best defensive player in the history of the franchise and one of the most feared pass rushers of all time, it is only fitting that he receive this highest of honors. His number will be the second in team history to be retired behind Jim Kelly's #12.
